Crosswind Registration Reminder <- Click here for registration information and to print forms

Registration will take place Tuesday, August 4, 2015, from 7:30 AM to 12:00 PM and 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM. To save you time in registering your child(ren), print the paperwork (8 forms), complete them and bring with you to registration. There may be additional forms to complete on August 4. You must bring your proofs of residence that will be checked and approved prior to final registration. In order to eliminate as much confusion as possible, the registration process will be as follows:

ALL STUDENTS
Proof of residence is required for all students at registration and may be required ofany student during the school year. At registration, everyone MUST provide two of the following five items:

Sales contract (contingency agreements not accepted)
Real Estate Tax Receipt
Mortgage Information
Current Memphis Light Gas and Water bill or turn on receipt Rental Contract

The parents/guardians and students who are living with someone else must provide a notarized letter (provided by the school) for proof of residence along with any two of the following:

Driver’s License Payroll Check
Voter Registration Government Assistance Letter 3 pieces of mail with forwarding sticker

The owner/lessee must accompany the parents/guardians to school for registration on August 4th with two items of proof from the five accepted items listed above. If these items are not received on registration day, your child will not be allowed to register.

Returning Students

1. Proof of Residence will be verified in the following locations:

   Last name beginning with letters A-I in the Art Room
   Last name beginning with letters J-Q in the Library
   Last name beginning with letters R-Z in the Computer Lab

2. After your residence has been verified, you will be given a Registration Approval form which is to be taken to the Gym in order to complete necessary information for the new school year. Transportation information is critical on the first week of school.

New Students and Kindergarteners
New students and Kindergarten students will proceed directly to the Cafeteria where their proofs of residence will be verified and registration completed.

Items needed at Registration for Kindergarten and New Students to Crosswind
Students who were previously enrolled in another school system in Tennessee may enroll pending receipt of their academic and health records. Students transferring into the system from out of state or from a nonpublic school must provide a permanent Tennessee Certificate of Immunization. We are also asking for custody papers or parenting plans where applicable.

Kindergarten students must be 5 years old on or before August 15, 2015, and the following items MUST be provided:
1. Certified copy of the Birth Certificate (not mother’s copy)
2. Proof of recent medical examination (within the last year)

3. Permanent Tennessee Certificate of Immunization 4. Social Security Number

Teacher Assignments
The teacher/student classroom assignments will be made after the completion of registration. The assignments will be posted at the front and back doors of Crosswind on Friday, August 7, 2015 at 5:00 PM. Parents and students may check the listings at that time or during the weekend for the assignments. Please be sure your child knows their teacher and room number prior to the first day of school.

School Supply Packets and Planners - CASH ONLY ON REGISTRATION DAY
School supply packets and student planners will be sold in the bookstore during registration. The supply packets include all supplies needed per grade level. The cost of the packet is $50 which includes the student planner. Student planners along with other bookstore items may be purchased in the bookstore at registration. If you want to order your supplies now –this can be done online at www.kidzschoolbox.com. Click on the Grocery cart. Use “parent” as the username and as the password. Choose your school and grade, then go to check out and place your order. You will be able to pick up the prepaid kit on August 4 at school. Deadline to order online is July 3rd.

Lunch money will also be received on August 4 in the cafeteria (cash or checks).

It is imperative that you register on Registration Day, August 4, 2015. If you are planning to be out of town, please let us know before you leave. Correct numbers could mean the difference in whether or not we lose or add teachers. Assignments are based on projected enrollment and subject to change within the first 20 days.
