All students taking Honors Sixth, Seventh, or Eighth Grade Math, in addition to those taking Honors Algebra I and Geometry Honors, are required to complete summer math work. Summer work is designed to keep you engaged with mathematics during the summer break, review previously learned skills, and begin to build on those with new skills that will aid in your success in the next course.
Please encourage your student to work on these as independently as possible. Certain sections specifically mention that they should be completed without the use of a calculator. It is not recommended to complete the work all in one setting. Rather, the work can be broken into smaller chunks to be completed throughout the summer. Teachers will review the summer work with students upon return to school in August.
*STEM Scholars, if you are entering:
-6th grade, complete the Honors Math 7 Summer Work.
-7th grade, complete the Honors Algebra I Summer Work.
-8th grade, complete the Geometry Honors Summer Work.
