Ribbon Cutting for Crosswind Elementary Expansion

We are one step closer to the completion of Crosswind Elementary School's expansion project! Yesterday, board members and teachers had the opportunity to tour the expansion and see the new spaces firsthand.
Crosswind Elementary families will have the opportunity to see all the renovations, from the expansion project to the updates in the original building, upon returning to school next fall.
With nine new general education classrooms, two special education classrooms, an art room, and a music room, the expansion is designed to give Crosswind the much-needed space to spread out, allowing for a better educational environment for our teachers and students.Here are some facts about the Crosswind Expansion (and the additional renovations that will be going on this summer).
- Total square footage is 17,348 ft2, including a 2,736 ft2 FEMA-rated storm shelter.
- 13 classrooms (9 Gen Ed., 2 SPED, 1 Art, 1 Music)
- Student Restrooms
- Teacher’s Work Area w/ Restrooms
- Connected Corridor to Main Building

Existing Building Interior Renovations include the following:
- New LED Lighting, ceiling grid/tiles, and new hallway flooring.
- New fire alarm and sprinkler system.
- Restroom renovations including new fixtures, partitions, and flooring.
